WBENC Certification

Amptec Research is proud to be a certified women owned business. Since 2015, Amptec Research has been solely owned by Sarah Clark, and in 2023 we certified our women-owned business status with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, also known as the WBENC. The WBENC stamp of approval is the gold standard for this certification – because being a WBENC-certified business testifies that not only is Amptec Research majority-owned by a woman, but that at least one woman also maintains practical control and a role in daily business operations. The application process is rigorous and thorough, and we maintain our certification with annual audits. It is an important part of our culture at Amptec Research to promote women within leadership roles at the company and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Along with our certification and membership in the WBENC, we are a part of the regional group known as the Women’s Business Council Southwest. This regional group unites women who are business owners in the southwestern part of the United States.

This certification has opened many doors and sparked countless conversations with other WBENC-certified businesses. Most recently, we attended a round-table conference, where we met up with female executives from Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Lockheed Martin, and more. WOSB Certification

During the process of applying for our women owned business certificate, we completed additional documentation and steps to certify that we are a women-owned small business, or WOSB, through the Small Business Association. We were successfully granted this status and maintain this certification through annual audits. The definition of a small business varies depending on your NAICS code. Amptec Research qualifies for WOSB status under NAICS code 334513, as we have fewer than 750 employees, fall under the annual gross profit limit, and are a women-owned enterprise.

Though we may be small, our impact in the world of ultra-safe instrumentation has been mighty.
